Marvia Lawrence – “READY” [ALBUM] (Stream Here!)

Hailing from Alton Illinois, Rapper & media personality Marvia Lawrence has plans on putting his name in the history books. Right next to other famous Alton natives like the legendary Jazz trumpeter Miles Davis, or more infamously the convicted assassin or Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. one Lee Harvey Oswald.  His music is best described as reality rap and his lyrical content can be compared to few well known artist like T.I., Boosie Badass or Don Trip however his style is a blend of his early influences like Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and more notably, local legends Roq & Caly Cal.
Lawrence formally knows as Scorpio partnered with Money Making Mitch Foster to form Venom in 2004.  By 2007 Venom was well on its way as one of the most respected underground rap label in the area.  The release of the A-Town Mixtape solidified their grip on the top spot in the city started to make noise outside of the area.  Lawrence (known as Scorpio at the time) took advantage of the buzz by dropping Touchdown Volumes 1 & 2 in 2008 and 2009 respectively.  At the height of his initial success Lawrence’s blossoming career and record label was derailed by legal complications that resulted in a short prison stint for the entertainer.  Since his release Lawrence has put out projects titled Planet X, Doom’s Day and Stay Real, but it wasn’t until his R&B collaborative album One Night in A-Town was released earlier this year that it was clear the artist formally known as Scorpio was back in the driver seat.  Known by his fans and haters alike as the King of Da A (KODA), Lawrence is just dropped his national debut studio album titled Ready at last night. The sauce had to tune it! The homie out here putting in work!!  The lead singles Hard Times & Game of Thrones are available on all platforms.  He saucing right now.

Abigail Jerri – Let’s Play

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Abigail Jerri is a vibrant young rising star who wasted no time starting her career as a performing artist, beginning to write and perform songs at the age of 4. By the time she was 14, she had started recording her original songs at a professional studio. Using a diverse group of artists such as Christina Aguilera, Aerosmith, Cindy Lauper, and Ciara as influences, Abigail has been prolific in her career of writing and performing.  She incorporates her other passions, such as gymnastics, in her performances on the stage.   In Pittsburgh, Abigail attended a performing arts high school, majoring in musical theater. She has been featured with Pittsburgh’s hip-hop artists on several songs in duets and as a background vocalist. She also has performed her original songs on many stages around Pittsburgh. While still in the Steel City, she released her first album, “Take a Chance”, and lives by those words. Subsequently, she released her single and one of her latest videos, “Bad Girl” which is one of my favs.  Abigail in her music aims to explore such concepts as the dichotomy of doing what one feels is right, verses doing what society “tells” one to do. She also writes about the struggles of life, dealing with them in a positive way; having good intentions and keeping true to ones character.  Among her many achievements, Pittsburgh Style & Glam LLC in 2018 bestowed upon Abigail its “Rising Star” award. After taking part in the Judy Stakee songwriting retreat in November of 2017, she decided to spend more time in Nashville. There, she has performed many shows, including an engagement at the legendary Exit/In. Abigail continues to grow in her artistry and create new music.  She has a good catalog as an artist & I love what she doing with her music. She saucing her way through the ranks… Give her your ears and you won’t be disappointed.

Harrdluck – Ghetto Gotti [Album]

This shit heavy right here! Harrdluck been going off for awhile proving why he one of hardest artists coming outta Jersey. I been listening to him especially since we from the same state. Actually linked up with Big Bro a few times. One of realest guys you’ll ever meet doing this shit. Nothing but good vibes. I love this project though. I don’t wanna say it too early but this might be a classic early. Definitely a top 5 album when we talking about independent artists. One thing that really sets him apart is that he is so raw with his shit. He can actually spit + talk shit. He got a jawn called “Where 2 Start” featuring Dave East and thats going crazy. The visuals is out now and like i said before, I think he went harder than Easton this song. East is my favorite artist right now.. I Know. Even tho that got the hood rocking my fav songs off the album are “Warrior”, “The Hood” featuring Uncle Murda which is the hood anthem & “The First”. Hardy talk real life shit. Too real at times & how he put it together + deliver make him a rare one. Great piece of work right here. You will enjoy this one. This been on repeat since it dropped. Stay with him on IG: [@Harrdluck] #SauceTalk
